Dog Trainer Location: In-Person at a facility in Mississauga, ON Compensation may vary depending on experience level About the Opportunity: Lil’o’s Club is searching for an experienced dog trainer to join our growing team. We are looking for a trainer that has worked with dogs/puppies in a group class setting. This individual must be available to work weekends and evenings. Responsibilities: > Teach the curriculum of the class > Run the class > Ensure training areas/facilities are clean and tidy (sanitize) > Reinforce positive behaviour in dogs while training > Report any concerns, whether it is managerial or dog training based > Follow any safety protocols indicated > Client follow ups/check ins > Supervise and provide guidance to dog training assistant when required > Other duties as assigned Qualifications: > Minimum 6 to 12 months of experience > Previous experience teaching a group puppy/dog class > Effective communication skills > A love for dogs > Patient and enthusiastic > Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
